Over 10 years, before then I volunteered here at Tidcombe.
Q. Do you lead a subject?
No, but I'm responsible for making sure the children of Tidcombe have a great lunch play.
Q. Do you have a favourite subject?
I love art and history.
Q. Have you had any careers aside from teaching?
I worked for Barnardo's children's charity, Devon County Council and National Trust in the past.
Q. What is your favourite book?
I like Fantasy books that involve themes of the supernatural, magic, and imaginary worlds or creatures. I would read the 'Fighting Fantasy' books as a child, but my favourite books are on Folklore and Superstitions especially where sayings originate from - I have a curious mind on this subject. 'The Grimms Brothers vintage book of original stories' makes for a great read for me.
Q. What makes Tidcombe special?
Tidcombe is a wonderful school with a great team made up of its staff, children and parents all working together. The sound of happy children is a delight to hear.
Q. Recommend one thing to do in the area for someone who has recently moved here.
Take a trip to Lydford Gorge or ancient Becky Falls especially in Autumn and Spring or when its Bluebell season. Devon woods is a wonderful and magical place to walk in.
