Q. How long have you worked at Tidcombe?

I have worked here for 11 years

Q. Do you lead a subject?

I lead PE at the school and am always trying to think of ways to inspire the children to be active and learn new skills. 

Q. Do you have a favourite subject?

PE of course!  

Q. Have you had any careers aside from teaching?

Before teaching I worked in London for 5 years, for a children's charity and a human rights charity. I then volunteered in Nicaragua for a year and loved teaching so much I decided to train to become a teacher.

Q. What is your favourite book?

I have so many favourite books!  One of my favourites to read to my class is "I want my hat back". This and other books by Jon Klassen are very clever as the pictures tell the story as much as the words.

Q. What makes Tidcombe special?

Tidcombe has an amazing outdoor area and we are all committed to using it as much as possible to enrich our curriculum. 

Q. Recommend one thing to do in the area for someone who has recently moved here.

I would recommend visiting the canal- it is so peaceful and beautiful. Perfect for a cream tea, a horse-drawn barge trip or a fun cycle ride down to Greenham.
